Prayer #47: For Parents and Children During the COVID-19 Crisis
Our house is situated on a corner, and the side street there is quiet, with very little traffic. While helping my wife Cindy in the garden over the last month or so, I have noticed on several occasions a father teaching his young daughter to rollerblade. It seems to be a great time for them to spend together, time they might not have had if it weren't for the Coronavirus restrictions. This, at least, is one good thing that is happening, at least in some households during this time. With parents at home more and with fewer options of things to do that might pull the family in different directions, this can be a great time for parents and children, reminding one of the times, fro example, when a big snowstorm has slowed things down, though this has been a lot longer. We want to pray today for the ways that the Coronavirus crisis can be a blessing to families in the midst of hardship.
Pray for this time of restriction to be a great time for families. Pray that more time could be spent together, and that, in spite of all that is happening with the COVID-19 outbreak, unforgettable family memories could be made. Pray that God could use this time for much good in the lives of parents and children.
Mal. 4:6: "And He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers."
