Prayer #46: For Mother's Day During the Coronavirus Crisis
Today will be a different Mother's Day for many, especially in states where the COVID-19 restrictions are especially stringent. In some of these places, sons and daughters have been advised not to visit with their mother, and if they do, they should not give her a hug but should rather, keep their social distance. This is especially so in instances where either the son or daughter, or the mother, or, for that matter, the father or other family member present, are in a higher risk category for the Coronavirus. So on this Mother's Day, we want to pray that God would minister to every mother, whether or not they can get an in-person visit.
We pray today, on Mother's Day, that the Lord would indeed minister to and encourage the mothers, whether or not they are able to receive a visit from their sons and daughters. Pray that as flowers are sent, phone calls are placed, and where possible, there is an in-person visit, mothers would know that they are loved, appreciated, and thanked.
Prov. 31:28: "Her children rise up and call her blessed, her husband also, and he praises her."
