Prayer #36: For Hair Salons and Barber Shops, Closed Due to the Coronavirus
Of the many businesses that have been so greatly impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak, none have been more so than hair salons and barbershops. Fixing and cutting hair involves close contact; it simply is not possible for the barber or stylist to stay more than six feet away. So, these are businesses that have been shut down completely. It is probable too that these will be some of the last businesses allowed to reopen as well. Typically, many of these are small, independently owned businesses; some are family-owned. The impact of the Coronavirus restrictions on these shops is incalculable. If they are not able to reopen again soon, some may permanently close.
We do want to pray for the hair salons and barbershops, particularly those in our region. Many of these are small, with extremely limited resources on hand to weather an extended closure. Pray for God to provide quickly the financial relief that they need, including small business loans through the Cares Act Payroll Protection Plan. Pray that the owners of these businesses would seek God to sustain them during this difficult time.
Ps 34:10: "The young lions suffer want and hunger; but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing."
